1kg meagre (yellow mouth)

1 medium size celery,

1 pc onion,

1 pc orange,

2 pcs garlic,

3 small tomatoes,

2 tablespoons tomato paste,

2 tablespoons olive oil,

1 tablespoon lemon juice, salt, thyme.



We are slicing our meagre by 2cm intervals. We put 2 tablespoons olive oil to bottom of our pan and put meagre slices proportional and we add thyme and salt on.


Peel the celery and chop it cubes, soak the cubes with orange or lemon juice to prevent blackened and put them between the meagre meats.

We add roughly chopped onion, garlic and peeled tomato cubes to our pan, and put celery’s stem and leaves on top.


We put tomato paste into a glass of water and squeeze orange and add some water, stir just a little bit and distribute sauce to our pans homogeneously.


Cook 30 minutes on low heat until the water is off, we eat to appetite.
